Betty Jean Mayfield, 89, of Louisville, passed away October 26, 2015 at Treyton Oak Towers. She was born on March 1, 1926 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis and Lillian Fisher. Betty Jean was a member of the Iroquois Presbyterian Church and later moved her membership to Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church. She was involved in the Beechmont Ladies Women’s Club and the Southpark Country Club.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, James Mayfield; a daughter, Trisch Mayfield Davis; two sons, James David Mayfield (Barbara) and John A. Mayfield (Joy); grandchildren, Jennifer Mayfield-Quazi (Inam), Jaimie Davis, Kathleen Mayfield, Ross Mayfield and Tom Mayfield; and a sister, Ruth Steele.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-7 on Thursday at the funeral home.
