She was born November 10, 1947 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank Arthur and Roberta Nelson (Crane) Powell. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Marie Powell Smith.
Carol had worked as a Computer Supervisor at Executive West and Galt House hotels for many years. In recent years, Carol had taken an interest in painting, which resulted in many beautiful pieces of artwork.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Michael Stough (Tamara) and Robert Stough (Laura); four grandchildren, Zachary Stough (Jennifer), Kaylyn Stough (Ryan), Justin Stough (Claire) and Madison Stough; great-grandchildren, Oliver Robert Stough and Everett William Stough, who is on the way; and two siblings, Arthur Powell (Susette) and Janet Brown (Scott).
A gathering to celebrate and honor Carol’s life will be from 9-11am on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206
