Carol Louise Vaughn

Carol Louise (Pray) Vaughn, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky went to be with her Lord Jesus October 8, 2019 after a short illness. Carol was born July 29, 1936 in Denver, CO to William Pray and Lavina (Davis) Pray. She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Cynthia (Vaughn) Carbajal. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years Charles Vaughn, daughter Constance (Vaughn) Teske (Rich), her grandchildren Jeremiah Carbajal (April), Charles Carbajal, and Theodore Carbajal (Hayley), Abigail Teske, Anna Teske, and Isaac Teske, and three great-grandsons Noah Carbajal, Hunter Carbajal, and Isaiah Carbajal. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gloria (Vaughn) Hann, two nieces, a nephew and several cousins.

Carol married Charles on November 30, 1956 and cared for the family and home. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels while they lived in Lombard, IL and became coordinator for the program for a short time. Carol taught all ages at the churches they were members of while in CO, OK, IL, and SC. She was a willing worker to show Jesus’ love and loved getting to know people. In 2007 Carol and Charles moved to The Plains, OH to be near daughter Connie and her family. They again moved to Louisville, KY in 2015 to be near the Teske family. She attended Fern Creek Christian Church. The family will have a memorial service in the future in Denver, CO.
