

Caroline R. Randolph, 88, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on the morning of March 18, 2012. She came to Louisville in 1947 to work as a Physical Therapist at Kosair Crippled Children Hospital where she worked for seven years. She was born and raised in Kansas where she received her Certificate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas. She had also attended Kansas Wesleyan University and Kansas State College. She worked at many local area hospitals and for 13 years at the Southeastern Indiana Rehabilitation Center. She retired from therapy from a local nursing home in 1981. Caroline celebrated her 50th Anniversary of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Assocation, and holds a Life Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association.
She was a member of Meadow Heights Woman's Club since 1961 and has been past President and Vice-president and held many chairmanships; past third District Governor and Vice-Governor and held the office of KFWC CIP Chairman. Other memberships include the Clear Creek Garden Club; Beautification League of Louisville and Jefferson County as President; Woman's Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitian Louisville as secretary and editor of the newsletter; and member of the National Conference of Women in Chamber of Commerce. Caroline also was a deacon at the Buechel Park Baptist Church, where she had held a membership for many years. Another membership close to her heart was the Nunnlea Historic House where she was the past president of 14 years, and was known to do anything that needed attention, especially the beautification of the grounds. Outside of her many memberships she loved her hobbies of sewing and creating craft items, piecing quilts, golfing, where her famous moment was a hole in one, and working on learning the computer.
Caroline was predeced in death in by her loving husband Bernard Randolph and her daughter, Susan Frick.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, John (Audrey) Randolph; son-in-law, Jim Frick; grandchildren, Julie Brooks, Matthew (Courtney) Frick; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Zachary and Matthew; and her beloved dog, Bella.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with private interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
