Carolyn Taliaferro Moore

A U of L graduate with a BA in education and an MA in library science, she was a teacher and a librarian for JCPS.

She fought valiantly with many health issues to enjoy reading, bible study, family and friends and travel. She was a member of Highview Baptist Church.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her former husband, Don Taliaferro and their daughter, Velinda Taliaferro.

She is survived by her husband of fourteen years, Wayne Moore, brothers, Dan Polk and Richard Polk, sister, Gwen Lambert, nieces, Rhonda Thompson (Lee), Beth Vachon (Kevin) and Susan Bennett (Gregg), grandchildren, Ezra, Ashlyn, Evan, Josh and Matthew. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, June 8, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 and after 9 a.m. the day of the funeral.
