Carson A. Meredith passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on December 12, 1938 to the late Elmer and Gladys Meredith. Carson was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school. He was an avid sports fan, especially UK football, basketball, and volleyball, and coached youth softball and basketball.
In addition to his parents, Carson is preceded in death by his brother, Donovan Meredith.
Left to cherish Carson's memory are his wife of 66 years, Arlene Meredith; children, Julia Meredith, Brian Meredith, and Joshua Meredith (late Karen Meredith); grandchildren, Melissa Rondeau, PhD, Jessica Jones (Brandon), and Jonathan Meredith; great-grandchildren, Sterling, Giovanni, Ivy, and Henry; brother, Rick Meredith (Anita) sister-in-law, Sue Meredith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4:30pm-8:00pm, at Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Evergreen Funeral Home. Carson will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Asbury University Athletic Fund or Home of the Innocents.
