She was the former owner of Catherine's Eat Shop on Old Walnut Street which later relocated to 15th and Broadway. She had formerly worked with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept. as a supervisor of the Special Processing Dept. She later retired from the Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk's Office after 31 years of service. She was a devoted member of the N Street Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities.
She is survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law, James R. and Eula Fox Sr. and a very special friend, Edna Thomas. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her passing.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Patrick Murphy, the staff, nurses and cna's at Westminster Terrace Nursing Facility for their loving care of Ms. C.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 1 p.m. at her church, 2914 S. Sixth St., with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road and noon-1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
