Born May 24, 1940, in Charleston, West Virginia, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Wigington and Mary Jane Medley and her sisters, Reba Shireman and Carole Wigington.
Charlene was a devoted wife for 60 years to Bobby D. Hulker and a loving mother to six children: Donald Koebel (Kim), Chris Koebel (Camille), Mary Morris, Cindy Metcalf, Cathleen West (Kevin), and Gail M. Weathers.
She was a cherished grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
A retired educator from the Jefferson County Board of Education, Charlene loved gardening, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Her radiant smile and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around her, and her warmth and love left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Charlene’s faith as a Catholic guided her life, and she will be remembered for her devotion, kindness, and the light she brought into the lives of her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1-4 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206.
