Charles "Ron" Ronald Duffy Sr.

He was born to the late Carolyn and James C. Duffy, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Ron was a graduate of Fern Creek High School Class of 63'. He served in the United States Air Force from '63-'67, as a Prop Man for the C-130, "Hercy Bird". Once he was home, he met Lena Decker and they were married October 1968. They were blessed with three children, and 56 years of marriage. Ron worked and retired from Ford Motor Company, Kentucky Truck Plant with 39 years of service. He was a proud member of the UAW Local 862.

Ron and his family enjoyed travelling, camping, and attending sporting events.

During retirement Ron and Lena completed visiting the 50 United States and many other countries. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and previously Mother of Good Counsel "Mother Goose".

Ron was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Drew Duffy, his parents; JC and Carolyn Duffy, in laws; Kenneth and Wilma Decker, sister-in-law; Shari Mangan (Mel).

Here to cherish his memory is his wife, Lena Duffy, children; Cathy Duffy and Charles (Jessica) Duffy Jr., four grandchildren; Brianne, Sarah, Lauren, Charles R. Duffy III. He is also survived by three siblings; Thomas Duffy (Carolyn), Michael Duffy (Alma), and Pat Rogers (James), two sister-in-laws; Linda Conrad and Dee Willis. Additionally, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will miss him dearly.

Visitation will occur on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 4-8PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Westport, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, Kentucky 40222.

Mass will occur at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 6500 Saint Bernadette Ave, Prospect, Kentucky 40059, at 9AM on Tuesday, March 18th. Ron will be laid to rest within Louisville Memorial Garden East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40241.
