Charlie was one of my favorite cousins. I remember when he and Tommy would come by to visit me and my roommates when we lived on Vernon. He was so cute and talented. When Phil and I lived on St. Gabriel Ct. he did some electrical work for us and he helped paint mother's house in Springfield. We will surely miss him.

LOVE THE PHOTO. IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE CHARLIE I KNEW ALMOST 40 YEARS AGO.  EVEN AFTER WE WEREN'T DATING HE WOULD STILL VISIT MY PARENTS. IT WOULD USUALLY BE CHRISTMAS TIME. HE WAS ALWAYS LAUGHING & HAD THAT SPECIAL TWINKLE IN HIS EYE. THAT IS HOW I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM.

I HOPE THE FAMILY WILL GET THROUGH THIS TIME WITH ALL THE STORIES OF CHARLIE. I KNOW I WILL.

My family has known Charlie for many years.  He always had a grin on his face and was always laughing.  We will all miss him.  My deepest sympathy to the Smith family.

I was blessed the day Charlie came into my life. We became like family. He was a dear, kind person with a light heart. He had much suffering in life but always came up with a smile and a laugh. He dearly loved children and animals. He will be sorely missed.

I am very sorry to hear of my friend Charlie's passing. Very shocking. He and I worked on various remoldeling projects together, and I will say that I have never known another tradesman who worked with greater intensity than Charley Smith. Bob Higgins

Charlie and I were classmates at Trinity.  He was always laughing and happy go lucky.  Over the years, he made me laugh whenever I talked to him.  Charlie, you were a good man.  I will miss you and think of you often.

Charlie was a good friend who helped me many times on fixing up houses. We partnered together on houses and he was a good worker. Charlie was always there when I needed him. We spend many hours together working and always enjoyed working together. We will miss him and express our sympathies to the family and Leah.

So very sorry for the loss of Charlie he was from my memory, a good man who had such talent.  He helped Steve do some work on our house and many times (yes he's my cousin but we live in KY) I thought he was so good looking!! I enjoyed the moments of seeing him work!   I hope for the entire family peace in your hearts!!  My Deepest Sympathy to the entire Smith family.  We have lost a good man!

Charlie was a wonderful individual.  We painted together and he showed me home to run electrical wiring at my house.  I remember seeing him at my father's funneral on Aug, 11 this year.  I will miss his warm smile and friendly helpful attitude.
