Born in Louisville, Chris was a graduate of Iroquois high School, worked as a Cooper for the old Bluegrass Cooperage, and had also worked as a truck driver for the Courier Journal.
Chris is survived by his mother, Phyllis Kelly; and his daughter, Shelby Kelly. He is also survived by his sisters Julie Karcher, Ruth Snook, Becky McGaughey, and Jennifer Kelly. He was preceded in death by his father Michael G. “Mick” Kelly Sr and a brother, Michael G. “Mickey” Kelly Jr.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until the time of the service Sunday.
