Corine C. Houchens, loving mother to Eloise Braden (Ronnie), grandmother of Kristin Miller (Jim), great-grandmother to Cole and Nick Miller and wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews, passed away on June 13, 2018.

She was born February 8, 1922 in Grayson County, the daughter of Charles and Susan Anna Powell.

Corine retired from General Electric, and since she enjoyed being active, she went to work at Kroger, in Middletown, for another 15 years.

She has set a wonderful example for all of us to live by, in her love for others and for God.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice are appreciated.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Sunday, June 17 at Arch L. Heady Resthaven, from 3 to 8 pm and Monday from 11 am until time of service.

Services honoring Corine’s Life are at 12 pm, Monday, June 18, 2018 at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Corine was predeceased by her parents Charlie and Susan Anna Powell. She is deeply missed by her daughter Eloise Braden (Ronnie), granddaughter, Kristin Miller (Jim) and great-grandsons, Cole and Nick Miller, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
