Deloris M. Payne, 61, of Louisville passed away October 10, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East. She was born in Louisville on December 25, 1949 to James E. Walker Sr. and the late Edith L. Searcy. She was an RN/BSN with Baptist Hospital East and a member of the Kentucky Nurses Association.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry D. Payne; a daughter, Angela M. Patton (Brad); a son, Larry W. Horn Jr. (Christine); a step-daughter, Sandee L. Smith; an aunt, Deloris Walker; seven grandchildren, Eric, Carra, Allison, Kaitlyn, Myles, Ava Grace and Sophia; two great-grandchildren, Gunner and Brycen; three siblings, James E. Walker Jr. (Susie), Richard L. Walker (Adelaide) and Nancy J. Bryan (Richard).
A celebration of her life will be conduced Noon at Friday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Thursday at the funeral home.
