

Dena Marie Rogers, 60, of Louisville, KY passed away on January 18, 2026. Dena was a registered dietitian for over 28 years for the Louisville Metro Department for Public Health and Wellness WIC Program. Mayor Greg Fisher proclaimed December 30, 2016 as “Dena Rogers Day” in her honor for her years of service to the residents of Louisville, KY. She was a 1983 graduate of Valley High School and 1988 graduate of Spalding University. She loved spending time with her family, taking pictures, knitting, sewing, making diaper cakes, tracing her ancestry and serving the ones she loved.
She is survived by her mother Diana Motsch and her father Gerald “Jerry” Rogers, children Elizabeth (Ricky) Ramirez and Matthew Greer, step-siblings Sandra “Sandy” (Wayne) Smiddy, William “Bill” (Shawna) Motsch, Jr., Dr. Christine Motsch, step-niece Jennifer Morgan, half-sister Danielle Rogers, half-niece Vanessa Braden, and many other family members and friends. She is predeceased in death by her brother Christopher Lee Rogers, step-father William A. Motsch, and step-sister Cynthia Motsch Bragg.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, on February 6, 2026, from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bartholomew Church, 2042 Buechel Bank Road, Louisville, on February 7 at 10:00 am, with entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or a charitable organization of your choice in her name.
