Dennis Paul Murphy

Dennis was born on March 27, 1956 in Louisville to the late Dr. Patrick J. Murphy and Margaret Murphy, and was preceded in death by his sister Ann M. Murphy.

He was presently a member of Southeast Christian Church Chapel in the Woods, worshipping with his wife and church family which brought him social connection and community. Dennis was a retired sales supervisor with Anheuser - Busch and later retired from his post retirement job with Home Depot where he worked "to have fun".

Dennis found peace and enjoyment camping and taking beach vacations, as well as his friday luncheons with his best friends.

Here to carry on his memory and legacy by embracing life with the same humor and carefreeness and love are his wife of 46 years, Janice L. Murphy; son, David P. Murphy (Jennifer M. Murphy); daughter, Jennifer L. Murphy; grandchildren, Jacob and Charlotte; his siblings, Patrice Murphy, Dr. Patrick J. Murphy, Jr. (Sybil Murphy), Thomas Murphy (Naniene Murphy), Gerard Murphy (Pisami Murphy), Kevin Murphy (Lauri Murphy); his beloved companion Bella; and numerous nieces and nephews who all will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY, 40218. A funeral service in Dennis's honor will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the funeral home. Dennis will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
