Diana Cardwell, 72, of Louisville passed away July 12, 2015 at Kindred Healthcare. She was born on May 14, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert and Donna Zinsious. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed knitting and quilting.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Zinsious; grandparents, Virgil and Katherine Sparrow; and her beloved cat, Oreo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, David Cardwell; three children, Robert Cardwell, Theresa Deem and Scott Cardwell; grandchildren, Stacy Deem, Zachary Deem, Nicholas Deem, Bobby Cardwell, Joshua Cardwell, and Elizabeth Williams; her cat, Cali and dog, Allie.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 2pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3-8 on Thursday and from 12-2 on Friday both at the funeral home.
In leiu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Humane Society or Kosair Children’s Hospital.
