Dolly Ann Young

Dolly Ann Young 78, of Louisville, returned to her heavenly home on Thursday morning, after a valiant battle with advanced breast cancer. Her unshakable faith in God's promises brought her peace along with the love and support of her family and friends.

Dolly was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky to Harold and Pauline Boggs. She attended Manual High School and Norton's Nursing School. She managed two different medical practices for 34 years and retired in 2000. Her true calling was her unique ability to encourage everyone who knew her and her living example of steadfast faith, fierce determination, unconditional love, fiery wit, and humor. She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 59 years, James Young; children, Daniel Young (Betty) and Lisa Geurts (Gary); grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica (Brad), Joshua (Misty), Morgan and Marissa; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Jack; and sisters, Shirley Coakley and Betty Greaver.

Funeral Services will be held noon Tuesday in the Dignity Memorial Chapel at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 4-8 pm.

The family would like to request that memorial donations in Dolly's name be directed to Highview Baptist Church in Louisville.
