Born to the late George & Kathryn Bogard, Donnie is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosie Bogard (1964-2007), and a brother, Steve Bogard (Cathy).
Here to carry on his memory is his wife, Pat Bogard (2010 - present); his daughter, Terri Turner; his son Scott Bogard (Amy); grandchildren Allie Bogard (Mackenzie), Brent Turner, Zach Bogard (Laney)-Great Grandson Miller; Sister Linda Whitworth; Sister Debbie Norman; Sister Teresa Kelley (Joe); many nieces and nephews; many in-laws; many stepsons, and step grandchildren..
He loved to work in his garden, especially growing tomatoes. He also loved many dogs over the years and recently discovered his love for cats. He was a maintenance machinist at Brown and Williamson before becoming a full-time auto body worker at S&H Body Shop and Autobody of Louisville. His time with grandkids was special to him! He loved being a PaPa and spent many hours spoiling his grandchildren. He will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, located at 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service in Donnie’s honor will follow at 7:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
