Age 94, of Louisville Ky, went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 19, 2024. She was born on February 25, 1929 to the late Robert Blanton and Merie Wiest. She was a homemaker for 64 years and loved taking care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, mamaw and great mamaw. She enjoyed looking at old photos and telling their stories, watching t.v. and reading books.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 64 years Jack Best and a half brother Cecil “Jr” Barnes.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two children Gary Best (Anna), Paula Hasting (Tony), grandchildren Missy Davis (Matt), Cyndi Gomez (Johnny), Gary Best Jr. (Melissa), Heather Vogt (Eddie), Holly Costa (Tim), great grandchildren Bryan Davis, Zachary Smith, Katelyn Drake, Jacob Best, Andrew Best, Michael Best, Jordan Vogt, Lauren Vogt and Morgan Vogt, her stepmother Evelyn Blanton, a step sister Ramona Boyett (Chip), and 2 stepbrothers Harold Blanton and Warren Blanton.
A private funeral service for the family will be held at 12 noon on Sunday February 25, 2024 at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Rd) with a private burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday February 25, 2024 from 10am-12noon.
