She was a member of New Cut Road Baptist Church and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Bright Star Chapter 16.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband John McKnight. She is survived by her sons Rickey McKnight (Kim), Terry McKnight, and Perry McKnight; brother, Charles Goodlett Jr; sisters Beverly Lucas and Linda Cammack; 3 grandsons; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 Saturday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 Friday.
