Dorothy Alice Bohannon, 71, of Louisville passed away May 16, 2013 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born on July 13, 1941 in Louisville to the late Floyd Thompson and Clara Maude Hughes. She was of the Baptist faith and worked for the Kentucky School for the Blind and Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bohannon and her beloved dog, Bear.
She is survived by her nieces, Barbara Wyatt and Mary Coy; a nephew, Steven Pickford; as well as several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Monday at 2pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Sunday and 10-2 on Monday at the funeral home.
