Dorothy Close

Dorothy Lee Close, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2021. Dorothy enjoyed repurposing old furniture and taking care of her housework. She and Tommy enjoyed shopping for antiques and exploring Kentucky looking for Byron Crawford’s quaint little shops.

Dorothy was preceeded in death by her husband, Tommy Close; parents, George and Mary Campbell; grandson, Marty Pope; sisters, Louise Carey, Corine Campbell, Maydell Campbell, Joyce Rucker; and son-in-law, Jerry Pope.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sandra Pope; grandchild, Christina Lieblick (Russ); great grandchildren, Anna and Ben Lieblick; brother, George “Sonny” Campbell Jr; and several nieces, nephews, and neighbors.

The Funeral Service will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00am at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00am – 6:00pm at the funeral home.
