Dottie was born February 22, 1935, to Dorothy and Joseph Luckett in Louisville. She was retired from Heritage realty and was an Executive Secretary at Kentuckiana Metroversity. Dottie was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville, KY and a former member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Louisville.
She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter, Tracie Weed Fitzgerald and her brother, Gene Luckett.
Dottie is survived by her husband of 69 years Jim, her son Rick (Theresa), sister Donna Luckett, brother Gary Luckett, son-in-law Michael Fitzgerald, grandchildren; Eric Weed and Stacie Fitzgerald, great-granddaughter, Jordan Weed and great grandson Braxton Weed as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
A funeral service will occur Monday, October 24, 2022, starting at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Dottie will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park following the service.
