Eddie Rudolph III, 80, of Shelbyville, KY, went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2025. He was born to the union of Eddie Rudolph, Jr. and Blanche (McCray) Rudolph in Summersville, South Carolina, on May 27, 1945.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. As a child, he was a student at Phyllis Wheatley Elementary. He graduated from Central High School in 1963.
He married the love of his life, Sandra Blevins, on November 9, 1964. He served in the Air Force in Vietnam from July of 1963 to July of 1967. He retired from Kentucky Ford Plant after 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Sandra Jean (Blevins) Rudolph; two sons, Eddie Rudolph IV and Christopher (Kathy) Rudolph ; four grandchildren, Laquita Rudolph, Chrysa (Fredrick) Jackson, Christopher Rudolph, Jr., Ciara Rudolph; two great-grandsons, C.J. Rudolph and Easton Jackson; one sister, Diane Edwards of Louisville, KY; twin brothers, Larry Rudolph of Louisville, KY, Garry (Sandy) Rudolph of Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Patricia (A.J.) Cunningham, Fay (Dexter) Estes, and Tina (Jerry) Ford all of Louisville, KY; one brother-in-law, Umar Shareef of Louisville, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
His parents, Eddie and Blanche Rudolph and one brother, Alvin Rudolph preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, September 30 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218 with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday, September 29, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. Visitation 12 pm Tuesday, September 30, 2025 until time of service.
