Greenup, Edgar W. Sr., 90, passed away February 26, 2016. Edgar retired from General Electric after 25 years. He was a member of Epiphany United Methodist Church and in the walking club for Epworth United Methodist Church. He was an avid baseball, boxing and Indy 500 fan. Edgar was also a proud season ticket holder for the Louisville Bats. He was preceded in death by his son William Brian Greenup. Edgar is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Elizabeth Powell Greenup, children Edgar W. “Sonny” Greenup Jr., Elizabeth “Betsy” Faulkner (Robert) and Gail Blevins, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. A service to honor the life of Edgar will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady and Sons Funeral Home 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-8pm at the funeral home.
