Edie was the daughter of Edith Hanly Tharpe and the late Charles Smith.
Edie and her husband were founders and owners of a property investment company and she was an agent with Semonin Realtors.
Preceeding her in death was her brother, Steve Smith. Surviving are her husband, Mark Meredith, daughter Jenni Kelley (Jason), granddaughter, Adriana Castaneda and sister, Mary Catherine Owen.
Visitation is 12 to 4 PM and funeral 4 PM Saturday, September 4 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
