69, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Norton Suburban Hospital. Ed was born in Louisville on January 2, 1942 to Arrah Lee Krazer and Roy L. Cottrell who preceded him in death. He was a retired truck driver with Radac Corp. and with the former American Builders Concrete Co. Ed enjoyed NASCAR racing and go cart riding. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Caroline Barmore. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Linda Mattingly Cottrell, his beloved son, Eddie Cottrell Jr.; a brother and sister –in- Law, Roy and Rosa Cottrell Jr.; a stepson, Troy Mattingly and his former wife, Brenda Cottrell. Ed is also survived by his grandchildren, Shawn, Shanon and Seth Mattingly, plus many other family members and friends. All of us will remember him for his wonderful and quick sense of humor and also being a real gentleman. His Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc.
