

Born and raised in Bardstown, Kentucky, to the late Marion Wallace and Mary Louise Seay, Edward is also preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara P. Seay Oenbrink, Mary Louise Seay Bowling, Marion Thomas Seay, William G. Seay, and Alfred W. Seay.
Here to carry on his memory is his beloved wife and best friend, Patricia Jane Seay (Abell); children James Edward Seay, Christopher Martin Seay, Mary Catherine Seay Gama (Yoshi), and Angela Elizabeth Seay DeSimone (Adam); his grandchildren Addison “Addy” Denise DeSimone, Annalise “Anna” Jane DeSimone, and Aidan “Buddy” Joseph DeSimone; sisters Eleanor Seay Wise and Ethel Seay Barry; and many nieces and nephews.
Edward was an Airman 1st Class in the Air Force in the Kentucky National Guard. He was on active duty for one year and sent to South Korea during the Pueblo Crisis (1968). He worked in IT for over 50 years, and worked for Humana for 25 years before retiring in 2015.
Edward, affectionately known as “Eddie”, was a beloved husband, brother, dad, and “pop pop” who adored his family, especially being with his grandchildren. He was a proud veteran and UofL alumni, and enjoyed traveling with his family around the country, going on adventures, meeting people, and sharing stories.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 3, 2024, at St. Gabriel the Archangel, 5505 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40291 with a graveside service immediately following at Resthaven Memorial Park.
