Edwin Eddie Olliges Jr.

Eddie was born on June 24, 1955 in Louisville KY to Pat and Edwin Olliges Sr. He was a Catholic and a member of St. Martha Parish. Ed held two degrees from U of L, Chemical Technology and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. He worked as a CPA for Crowe Horwath for 33 years. He retired as a partner in 2013. In addition to work, Ed served as Treasurer for the American Red Cross board and also served on the Friends of the Waterfront board including a one year term as president. Eddie was an advocate for U of L and the performing arts. He was a season ticket holder of U of L Football, basketball and Actors Theatre for over 35 years.

Eddie is preceded in death by his grandparents, John “The Barber” and Anna Olliges, Joseph and Mary Herm and Father-in-law, Emil William Johnson, Jr.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judy, their children, Rebecca and Anthony Tatman, Erica Olliges, and Jeremy Shirey, parents, Pat and Edwin Olliges, Sr., twin sister Mary Pat Olliges, siblings and spouses, Larry and Kathy Olliges, Michael and Jackie Olliges, Christy and Keith Kalbhin, Mother-in-law, Emma Catherine Johnson, In-laws and spouses, John and Judy Johnson, Tom Johnson, Joe and Becky Johnson, Linda and Louis Besse, Steve Johnson, Nancy and John LaHood, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Eddie’s life will be conducted on Saturday, November 28, 2015, 10am at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Ln. with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation on from 2-8pm on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
