He was retired from L & N Rail Road with 28 years of service.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Joeann York Kroll; daughter, Carol A. Burba (Phil); grandchildren, Phillip and Bobbijo Burba; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Yvonne Bredhold (Donnie); stepdaughter, Karen Niemeyer (David) of Michigan; and stepgrandson, Tim Niemeyer.
His Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1-7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.
