Emma Catherine O’Bryan, 88, of Louisville, KY passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 with her family by her side. She was a devoted homemaker. After her children were grown, she worked and volunteered at the Methodist Hospital for many years. Emma was a former member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church for thirty years and a current member of St. Rita Catholic Church.
Her husband of 57 years Francis “Earl” O’Bryan and daughter, Jan Fortney precede Emma in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cathy O’Bryan, Brenda O’Bryan, Mary Lu Simpson(Glen), son-in-law, Jimmy Fortney, Sarah Goodman(Warren), Theresa Geiger(Al), Judy O’Bryan, Doug O’Bryan, Maureen “Reno” Edwards; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Joe Ryan, Mary Vittitow, Lois Fogle, Barbara Ryan, Pat Ryan, Nancy Rescigno and Tony Ryan.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40219 with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
