He was born to Magdalena Rivera and the late Fernando Rivera, Sr.
Fernando was a nurse at Green Valley Healthcare Center. He devoted his nursing career to caring for the elderly. He had a passion for books, and movies, especially Harry Potter. He loved the New York Yankees and Brooklyn, New York, where he spent his childhood. Fernando never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone’s life he encountered.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Angela Rivera, sons; Fernando Rivera, Braxton Tucker, and Michael Wick, Jr., daughters; Gabriella Rivera, Sophia Tucker, Ashley Florida, brother, Jonathan Rivera, sister, Zulena Murphy, brother-in-law, Alex Murphy, nieces; Arista Prentice, Avianna Prentice, Amiliya Murphy, and a host of other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, December 27, 2021 beginning at 10:00am, located at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home. Family will accept guest for visitation on Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 12:00pm – 7:00pm.
Mr. Rivera, Jr. will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, following services on Monday.
