He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Alberta Cole Flaherty; and sister, Von Cotton.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine "Sissy"; children, Debbie Richey and Ron Flaherty(Renate); special granddaughter, playmate, and friend, Tonya Richey; brothers, Paul(Barbara), Joe(Becky), Gary(Robin); sisters, Thelma Parson, Joyce Herbert, Christina Blanton(Ken), Marlene Kleinhelter, Charlotte Newton(Tom), Gail Lobred(Joe), and Jackie Wood(Ed); brother-in-law, Jim Cotton; 31 nieces and nephews; and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10am Monday at Arch L. Heady Okolona Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8pm Sunday.
