Mr. Thomas was a member of the Highland Lions Club, the Zoneton Volunteer Fire Department and was also a veteran of the Korean War.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara Karem Thomas; children, Tammy Stokes (Jeff), Michael Thomas (Norita), Daniel Thomas (Mary) and Mary Thomas-Kopko (Bob); and brothers, Russell and Dallas Thomas (Jean).
A service to celebrate Fred's life will be held noon Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to request that memorial donations be directed to Hosparus of Louisville.
