Frederick "Tony" Anthony Tagliarino

Tony Tagliarino , 77, of Louisville, Ky died peacefully May 19, 2023 at Jefferson Manor Rehab & Wellness Center, Louisville. He was born November 28, 1945 in Louisville. The son of Dr. Vincent and Melba Tagliarino.

Tony graduated from Durrett High School in 1964 and graduated with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1970 from the J. B. Speed School of Engineering. After graduating , he worked for the US Forest Service, US Corp of Engineers, J.A. Barker Construction before retiring from Sullivan & Cozart as an Estimate and Project Lead Engineer.

Tony was a current member and past Commander(2012-2013) of the Louisville Sail & Power Squadron ( now America’s Boating Club) where he particularly enjoyed teaching courses in Navigation and actively participating in the week long Adventure Camp for special needs children each year in Shepherdsville, Ky at the Boy Scout Camp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Sonny Tagliarino, his niece and Goddaughter, Lisa Shuck-Reilly and nephew Brett Hoffman. Surviving him are his sister, Estelle T. Shuck , brother David and wife Diana Tagliarino, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews and dear friend Linda Wright.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date for the family. Those wishing to remember Tony in a special way may make donations in his memory to America’s Boating Club, Louisville chapter.
