Ken was born in Louisville to the late Carl and Pearl Bischof. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, retired as a construction superintendent after 40 years with Sullivan & Cozart, and was a member of St. John Paul II Church (formally St. Barnabas). Ken also, was a longtime volunteer for SEAM and Repair Affair.
Along with his parents, a brother and 3 sisters have preceded him in death. Here to carry on his memory are his wife of 70 years, Mary Lou Bischof; children, Judy Wheat (Kenneth), David Bischof (Karen), George K. Bischof II (Jane) and Richard Bischof; grandchildren, Carrie Morgeson (Randy), Amy Korfhage (Eric), Laura Bischof Philpot (Matt), Kyle Bischof (Amanda), Dan Bischof and Michael Bischof; 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Visitation is 3-7pm Monday, September 3rd at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service in honor of Ken will take place at 10am on Tuesday, September 4th at the funeral home with burial to take place in Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy be directed to Habitat for Humanity, Juvenile Diabetes (JDRF) or the Bluegrass Honor Flight.
