Jerry was a graduate of Manual High School and worked for many years as a jack of all trades. He was an auto mechanic in his early years, but spent the majority of his time employed at Central Hardware. Jerry enjoyed Bassmasters fishing and had a passion for helping others. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association(NRA).
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; John B. and Julia Schmid, his siblings, and his two dogs; Sue Sue and Pepper.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother-in-law, sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving family members and really good friends.
There will be a graveside service Monday, January 4th, 2016 at 1:00pm at Evergreen Cemetery.
