He was born to the late John and Theresa Herrensmith on July 5, 1942. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Melinda Herrensmith, and stepson Troy Cilone.
Harry served in the U.S. Army and loved to travel with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards at the Fountain Run Senior Center. He was a member of the Fountain Run First Baptist Church, where he was highly involved with the youth and children's ministry, enjoying Upward Basketball and youth camps.
He is survived by his daughters, Sally Brewington (Chris), of Fountain Run, Gabrielle Ashley Gholson (Jonny) of Louisville. Step-sons, Samuel Cilone Jr. (Susan), of Louisville, Kevin Cilone (Renea) of Mammoth Cave and 5 grandchildren, Troy Cilone, Jonathan Brewington(Karleigh) Sammi Brewington, Jonas Gholson and Mila Gholson.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 11am - 2pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville KY 40218.
A funeral service will be conducted by Brother Robbie Perkins at 2pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady immediately following the visitation. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
