Harry A. Lehman passed on January 13, 2011 at Jefferson Manor. He was a retired executive with the old Jefferson County Medical Society. Harry was instrumental in the restoring of the old University of Louisville Medical School and was a charter member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church. He served his country proudly in WWII while enlisted in the Marine Core. During his service he was wounded in the Pacific. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thayla "Tana" Lehman and a son, Jeffrey A. Lehman. Left to cherish his memory are a son, David Lehman; daughter in law, Peggy S. Ruffra; grandchildren, Jessica R. Huff and husband Chris, Michelle L. Monroe and husband Brett and Winston G. Lehman; great-granddaughter, Isabella Huff. A Celebration of Life Service for Harry will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 319 Browns Lane. Arrangements are under the direction of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Road. In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy the family has requested memorials to the church.
