

Born the youngest of 13 children, Harry entered this life on Wednesday, December 24, 1952, to parents’ John R. Vance and Beulah (Matthews) Vance. He was a former truck driver with Calzona Tank Ways, where during the last few years he hauled jet fuel. Harry was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association “NRA” and was an avid gun enthusiast.
Besides his parents, John R. Vance and Beulah (Matthews) Vance; his daughter, Dianna Michelle Ragland; his siblings, Betty, Dorothy, Margie, Dexter, John, Joe, Leonard and Gerald, precede Harry in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carol Lynn Vance; grandchildren, Brian Patrick Ragland and Nicole Ragland; 6 – great – grandchildren; his brothers, George and Scott; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Advantage Funeral Home – Heady Taylor. He will be laid to rest in Horsley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hardinsburg, Kentucky following the Funeral Service. There will be no formal procession to the cemetery. Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Central Time / 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Horsley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at the Advantage Funeral Home – Heady Taylor.
