Helen Marie Peters

Helen was born in Panther, West Virginia on February 15, 1931 a daughter of Muncy Duty and Octavia(Roberts) Duty. Helen worked in Gilbert, West Virginia for many years leaving many dear friends and acquaintances. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Charlie Estel Peters; sister Buelah Mae Rash, and brother Franklin D. “Sonny” Duty.

Those left to love and cherish her memory include: daughter, Sandra Sue (Roger) Justice; son, Randy(Karen) Peters; grandchildren, Roger Brent (Dawn) Justice, and Kimberly (Jason) Tinsley; four great grandchildren, Katelyn Justice , Matthew Justice, Vaughn Pence, and Milo Tinsley; brother, Muncy (Ruth) Duty, Jr.; sisters Shirley Gilley, Lois Storm, Virgie Layton, and Brenda (David) Kriens; sisters- in- law Rebecca Thomas and Carol Duty along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home, in Iaeger, WV. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in the Roberts Family Cemetery at Cub Creek, near Panther, WV, with Reverend Daniel Dean officiating.
