Ravinsky, Helen Mary, 89, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022. She was a loving wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Helen was born on April 9, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York. She met her beloved husband, Edward Ravinsky, on a blind date and the two wed on July 31st, 1954. During their 66 years of marriage, they raised 3 sons, Richard (Kannikar), Edward and Thomas (Alvina); and a daughter, Heather. Helen went on to enjoy three grandchildren, David Yaron, Daniel Yaron and Emily Ravinsky.
In addition to being a full time mother, Helen made a career as a Secretary for various branches of the Federal and State Government which shaped the strong and brave Brooklyn raised woman that she was.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children and grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Glenridge Health Campus of Jeffersontown and Hosparus of Louisville for their hard work and the loving care that they showed to Helen.
A memorial service to celebrate Helen’s life and that of her husband, Edward, will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Graystone Manor Clubhouse (3200 Greystone Manor Pkwy).
