Irene Ruth Payne, 86, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at her home. She was born June 3, 1925 in Louisville, KY to the late Richard and Mary Mae Arnold Sharp. She was retired from the old St. Anthony Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles. She is survived by her children; Richard (Donna), Donna Yager, Cindy Gearing (Bob) of Jeffersonville, IN, Marty (Becca), and Dianne Gritton (Timmy). Her 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, and her sister; Ruby Moore
A service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak St. with interment at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Tuesday, and after 11 Wednesday.
