Jack was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, and the Fern Creek Optimists for over 21 years. An avid woodworker, bowler, Jack played senior softball for many years and was big fan of UK basketball.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Michele (Dudley) Firkins, and Jackie (James) Abney, his grandchildren; Sean (Lauren) Firkins, Chad (Jessica) Firkins, Jodi (Mathew) Fentress, Cody Abney and Megan Abney, great grandchildren; Skyler Firkins, Ariel Elders, Caitlyn Ford, Jasmine Mohr-Fentress, Jessica Edwards, Jackson Firkins, Josh Edwads, Jacey Firkins and Clayton Fentress, a brother Curt Stovall, Jacks companion Dottie Houk and special friend Sharon Schaub.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife; Patricia Ciresi Stovall, and 2 brothers, Charlie and Bob Stovall.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be 12pm Saturday May 31, 2014 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Friday May 30 at the funeral home.
