Born on April 14, 1929, the son of late Joseph and Anne (McAndrew) Casper, born in Harwood, PA. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Casper, Gerald Casper, sister Kathleen Naprava, and his son Jamie Casper.
Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who dedicated his life to family. He loved golfing, biking, exercising and was a very devout Catholic, belonging to St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Eleanore, sons Bobby Casper (Arlo), Mike Casper (Lori) and daughter Sharon Laub (Jim). Also surviving are his grandchildren Jessica Capek (Dave), Kelly Keeler (Matt), Jill Luton (Josh), Steven Laub, Brady Casper, Ellie Laub, Claire Casper, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Monday, 3/24/25 at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home 7410 Westport Road, Louisville KY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Louisville, KY at 11:30 AM on Tuesday 3/25/25. Interment at Calvary Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and/or Mass of the Air – Archdiocese of Louisville.
