James retired from Durkees Foods. He served in the US Marines in World War II in Okinawa Japan. He has been a long time member of Farmdale Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and choir member. He loved music and enjoyed singing.
James was preceded in death by his son, David.
James is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Jo Anna and daughter, Ladona Robison of Bethlehem PA. He has 4 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 10:00 am at Evergreen Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday from 4 pm - 7 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts in honor of James can be made to Farmdale Baptist Church, 1238 Durrett Lane, Louisville, KY, 40213.
