He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was retired as a material coordinator with Sun Opta-Food Ingredients. He was a Roman Catholic by faith, and KY Colonel. He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Saling, his mother, Mary Broderick Saling.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 yrs; Jade Saling, his 3 children; James D. Saling (Angela), Harley D. Johnson, and Buddy Pina (Tiffany). His 5 sisters; Patricia Neitzel (Jeff), Barbara Duncan (Mike), Linda Blair (Philllip), Laura Bailey (Steve), and Lisa Johnson (Danny). His 4 granddaughters, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
A service to celebrate Jamie's life will be held at Noon on Thursday in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with interment at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 pm, Wednesday.
