

Scrogham, James Edward Sr., 78, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on January 20, 2016. James retired from KY MFG Co. after 38 years, enjoyed hunting, loved fishing at Rough River and cheering on the Louisville Cardinals. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, especially Burt Bryant every Sunday, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Scrogham; brothers, Hubert Scrogham and William Scrogham; nephew/ son, Jimmy Hatchell; nephews, James Chesser and Davey Barnes.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Charlotte A. Scrogham; children, James E. Scrogham Jr., Roxann Lawhorn and Sheila Bryant, son-in-law Johnny; grandchildren, Mindy French (Rob), Alisha Bodner (Rob), Sara Wilson (Justin), Devon Scrogham (Kayla) and Deirdre Bryant (Rodney); great-grandchildren, Gabriel Scrogham, Breann French, Lochlan Bodner, Lilly French and Lance McVey; siblings, Freda Catlett, Katherine Wilson (Kenny), Clyde Scrogham, Ann Hargrove (Tony) and O’Dale Scrogham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 12 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel. Visitation will be Monday from 2 pm-8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of James can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
