Born on Friday, July 19, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky Jimmy was the son of Edward Wilson & Edith Myatt. He served his nation with pride and honor as a Medic in the United States Army. Jimmy served during the Kennedy Administration during both the Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was in the flux between the two events that construction of the Berlin Wall began. Jimmy was set to be discharged around this time, but due to the instability of World Peace, he was retained in case of further deployment abroad.
Besides his parents, Edward & Edith Wilson; his brother, Kenneth W. Wilson; sister, Linda Billings; & brothers – in – law, Donald Houk & George Dumbaugh; & nephew, Guy Richard Houk, precede Jimmy in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers & sisters, Frances Dumbaugh, Helen Sue Houk, Candella Rose Wilson, Marilyn (Ray) Spencer, Paul Allison (Judy) Wilson, Steven Allen (Becky) Wilson & Julie Hinton; & many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Services & Entombment will be private. Jimmy will be laid to rest in the Chapel of the Apostles of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums, where he will rest alongside his mother for eternity.
