She was born June 20, 1936 in Louisville, the daughter of Herman and Mary Layne, who preceded her in death.
She worked in Insurance as an Underwriter.
Jane leaves to cherish her memory her husband Syd Spicer; two sons, Rick Holland (Doris) and David Holland (Gwen); one daughter, Teri Smaldone (Steven); two step-children, Darrel Spicer (Theresa) and Carrel Schulke; a brother, Fr. Robert Layne (Suzanne); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Jane’s life will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
